Education plus experience is everything

To be the best we must learn from the best. We are 100% committed to enhancing our colleagues’ education, by offering tuition reimbursement and offering countless professional development opportunities.

Education assistance

To help our colleagues achieve their goals and ours, NAH is proud to offer the following:

  • Partnership with Arizona universities to reduce tuition costs, including Grand Canyon University, Chamberlain College of Nursing and Northern Arizona University. Grand Canyon and Chamberlain College offer a 20 percent tuition reduction and waive admission fees. These universities were selected based on their reputations for delivering high-quality education.
  • Tuition payment paid upfront up to $5,250 per year to colleagues pursuing any degree relevant to their work.
  • Reimbursement for books up to $100 per course for those pursuing a B.S.N. or M.S.N.

Specialty training

NAH is proud to hire clinical staff from all over the country. Flagstaff, Sedona and the Verde Valley are destination locations not only for nurses, but for medical technicians in many quickly-growing areas, including O.B., O.R., telemetry and paramedic.

We believe in lifelong learning, so our nurses and clinical staff continue their education via in-house Continuing Medical Education, or CEU, credits. In addition, unit-based educators are available on the units to provide support to the staff. This way, our medical technicians continue their education not only in a classroom setting, but on their designated patient-care units as well.

Northern Arizona Healthcare offers comprehensive training programs for a diverse array of technical professionals. Please click on the links below for more information about each program.

  • Nurse Residency Programs including Critical Care and Cardiovascular; Operating Room, Pediatric and Pediatric Critical Care; Perinatal and Special Care Nursery.
  • Technical Training Programs including Obstetrical Technician, OR Surgical Technician, Paramedic and Telemetry Tech.
