Equal opportunity

NAH is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all applicants and employees.  This policy includes a commitment to ensure that decisions on recruitment, testing, hiring, compensation, benefits, transfers, discipline, promotion, training, social and recreational programs are made without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status.  Further, NAH is committed to providing reasonable accommodation to otherwise qualified applicants who, if hired, would benefit from such accommodation by allowing the person to successfully and safely perform his/her job functions.

Statement on recreation marijuana use

Northern Arizona Healthcare is a drug free workplace which helps us ensure the safety of patients and staff. While the state of Arizona has legalized recreational marijuana, the NAH post-job offer drug screen does test for marijuana. Per NAH Policy HR 08-03 Drug & Alcohol, if a drug screen result is positive for any substance, including marijuana, without a valid prescription, the employment offer will be withdrawn. If shifts have already been worked, employment will be terminated. Employment eligibility will resume after 12 months.
