Virtual Care

Virtual visits

Northern Arizona Healthcare offers secure remote appointments for current and new patients in primary care and most specialty areas. Patients can participate in a live-video appointment, called a virtual visit, with their NAH outpatient primary or specialty care provider.  Virtual Visits allow patients to connect face-to-face in real-time without leaving their home. It’s fast, easy, and convenient — all you need is a computer, tablet, or smartphone. If you do not have a device to use for a virtual visit, you and your provider may decide that a telephone call will meet your needs.

Schedule a virtual visit

If you’d like to book a virtual visit with your provider or check if an existing appointment is eligible, contact your provider’s office. Or, you may schedule a virtual visit with certain providers through our Find a Provider directory. Look for the blue banner in the upper left corner of the provider’s profile indicating virtual visits are available.

How does a virtual visit work?

All you need is a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and speaker.

Step 1:

If you have a patient portal account on MyNAHealthcare, you can access your virtual visit directly from your scheduled appointments. Otherwise, you will receive an email or text with your appointment link when it is time for your visit.

Step 2:

Complete a quick guided tech check to ensure that your device, camera, and microphone are ready.

Step 3:

You will enter the waiting room. A medical assistant may join your visit prior to your provider to review your medical information. When your provider is ready, you will receive an incoming call notification. Accept to start your visit.
