Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Victoria Wang, MD, has joined Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC) in Cottonwood. Dr. Wang is a general surgeon who performs a wide range of elective and emergency surgeries, including surgeries for breast cancer, colon cancer, small intestine disorders, gallbladder disease, appendicitis and hernias. She will be working alongside NAH breast surgeons Sharita Nagaraj, MD, and Kate Preston, MD, at the Sedona Breast Care Clinic, giving patients more options for expert care when faced with breast cancer.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Wang to our surgical team at VVMC in Cottonwood,” said NAH Medical Group President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “She is a trusted health care provider who was drawn to practice general surgery in Verde Valley because of the close-knit community, which was extremely important to her. We know that the addition of Dr. Wang’s specialty skills will allow more Verde Valley residents to stay close to home while receiving the very best in surgical care,” added Dr. Bernardi. “We are thrilled to introduce her to the Verde Valley.”
Dr. Wang earned her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri and her undergraduate degree in chemistry and biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass.
