Comprehensive breast health in Northern Arizona

One out of eight American women and one out of every thousand American men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

While deaths from breast cancer have decreased due to early detection and better care, patients still need robust breast cancer programs. Northern Arizona Healthcare is closing the gap with our comprehensive breast care program in Flagstaff and Sedona.

Flagstaff breast care

In Flagstaff, the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare has partnered with Flagstaff Surgical Associates, Northern Arizona Radiology and Arizona Oncology to provide a breast cancer clinic. Two mornings a week, a medical oncologist, surgical oncologist and radiation oncologist see patients with breast cancer in the Radiation Oncology Department at the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare in Flagstaff.

In this clinic setting, care providers visit newly-diagnosed patients in the examination room to review diagnostic imaging and pathology and agree on a customized treatment process. Then, patients continue on to the treatment modality determined to take first priority while referring physicians receive information regarding the treatment plan. This coordinated, integrated care approach means less time between diagnosis and treatment.

Sedona breast care

In Sedona, NAH established the Breast Care Clinic, an integrated Program. The Breast Care Clinic team partners with the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare and the NAH Medical Imaging Department to bring state-of-the-art breast care to Sedona, making it a destination for patients seeking expert care when faced with breast cancer.
