NAH welcomes Julie Sturgeon, FNP-C, to Cottonwood primary care

Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Julie Sturgeon, FNP-C, has joined the NAH primary care office in Cottonwood. She is accepting patients now. Sturgeon joins a strong team of primary care providers in Cottonwood, including James Arthur, MD, who has been with NAH for over 30 years, Kim Carlton, PA-C, Lori Schaben, FNP, and the most recent addition, Sireesha Nallu, MD.

“We are so pleased to welcome Julie to our Cottonwood primary care practice,” said Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “Julie has been a long-time resident of Verde Valley, and she has been serving patients as a nurse and a leader at NAH since 2015. We know that Julie’s appreciation for the local community will help contribute to providing exceptional care to her patients while building on NAH’s commitment of delivering health care close to home for Verde Valley-area residents,” Dr. Bernardi added. 

Sturgeon, who has over 25 years of experience in the medical field, believes that providing high-quality health care means actively listening, while delivering compassion, empathy and respect when interacting with her patients. She specializes in family medicine, and treats patients of all-ages, from newborns to geriatrics 

Sturgeon earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – Family Practice, and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
