As the only PICU in Northern Arizona, this unit provides a wide range of extraordinary critical care services to critically ill and injured children, including continual monitoring of vital signs; nurses who care for only two children at a time to provide personalized attention; daily discussion of every child’s progress, goals and treatment plan; and a family-centered environment to encourage active familial involvement in each child’s care.
