Byron Hutto, MD, board-certified family medicine physician, recently joined Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group – Flagstaff. He has special interests and experience in geriatric and behavioral health.
Dr. Hutto grew up in Oklahoma City. He earned his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, and his bachelor’s degree in biology from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla.
Dr. Hutto has a 13-year-old son and enjoys biking and the outdoors.
Q: What is your care philosophy?
A: I strive to practice modern medicine with a traditional family doctor mentality.
Q: What do you enjoy about being in the field of medicine?
A: I enjoy seeing all age groups, from infants to the elderly. I love the close relationships seeing and treating the entire family allows.
Q: Does your scope of practice include holistic/integrative medicine?
A: I believe treating the whole patient involves mental health as well as physical health. I have a strong interest in behavioral health.
Q: What do patients tell you they appreciate about you?
A: My patients appreciate the time I take to listen, and I have been told I have a calming presence.
Q: Why did you choose to relocate here?
A: I am ready for a new adventure and excited to exchange the city life of Chicago for the mountain life here in Flagstaff.
