Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Muhammed Ali, MD, Eddie Fakhouri, MD, Bethany Weiler, MD, and Iris Maczura, FNP, have joined NAH’s Pulmonary Clinic in Flagstaff. Dr. Ali, Dr. Fakhouri and Dr. Weiler will also be serving patients at the NAH Pulmonary Clinic in Cottonwood. These health care providers join an experienced pulmonary clinic team who offer a full spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures designed to treat and care for respiratory disorders, including obstructive pulmonary diseases.
“We are pleased to welcome new providers to the team at the NAH Pulmonary Clinic in both Flagstaff and Cottonwood,” said Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “NAH knows how critical it is to have a variety of specialty care providers when it comes to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic conditions. Respiratory care is especially important in a high elevation communities, and continuing to build on these services will ensure that patients will be able to receive the highest level of pulmonology care,” Dr. Bernardi added.
Dr. Ali treats a wide range of conditions, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), interstitial lung disease (ILD) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). He earned his medical degree from Ziauddin Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed a fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass, as well as a residency in internal medicine at Crittenton Hospital Medical Center in Rochester, Mich. Dr. Ali is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pulmonary Disease and the American Board of Critical Care.
Dr. Fakhouri specializes in internal medicine, pulmonology and critical care medicine. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies and completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine from the University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. He also completed a residency in internal medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital Brooklyn. Dr. Fakhouri is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Weiler specializes in critical care and pulmonary medicine, with a particular focus in lung cancer diagnostics. She earned her medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Ill. She then completed her internal medicine residency and her pulmonary and critical care fellowship from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Pulmonary Disease and the American Board of Critical Care.
Maczura cares for patients with asthma, COPD, ILD and lung cancers, and has extensive experience serving the Medicare and VA communities. She has been at NAH since 2005 in Surgical Services, as well as a provider at NAH Children’s Health Center. Maczura earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, and an undergraduate degree in nursing at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners – Family Practice.
