Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Women’s Health clinic in Flagstaff. The new clinic is co-located with the NAH Primary Care clinic, a mile east of Flagstaff Medical Center, at 1895 N. Jasper Dr., Ste. 3. The clinic provides gynecology care, including wellness exams, preventive screenings and treatment for reproductive health conditions.
Gynecologist Phillip Williams, MD, has joined NAH to lead the service and provide compassionate care to women through every stage of life. He takes a collaborative, individualized approach that empowers patients to play an active role in their care and achieve the best possible outcomes. After being born and raised in Flagstaff, Dr. Williams relocated for college and medical training and returned to Flagstaff in 1997. He has worked for NAH in a number of capacities since 2000, including serving stints as the department chair and as the medical director for Flagstaff Medical Center’s obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health service line.
Dr. Williams earned his medical degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, where he also completed his undergraduate degree, as well as a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, where he served as Chief Resident. He also received a Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago. Dr. Williams completed a fellowship at the Society of Reproductive Surgeons at Woman’s Hospital of Texas in Houston. He is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
