Weight Management Clinic

Taking the next step

Attend one of our free information sessions

If you are considering weight loss surgery, we require you to attend one of our free information sessions prior to making an appointment with our surgical staff.

You can attend an in-person information session or an online webinar where the information is presented to you via video.

Both options include a presentation by our surgical staff on the causes and complications of morbid obesity as well as the types of weight loss surgeries.

  • In-person information session: view dates
  • Online webinar: click here to register as a guest in our Learning Management System (LMS). Once logged into LMS, select "Search" at the top of the screen and enter "weight loss surgery" in the search box to enroll.

Complete your patient profile

Northern Arizona Healthcare created a Patient Profile you can use to record every visit you make to a healthcare professional for obesity-related issues as well as any visits to supervised weight loss programs.

This profile can help you document other weight loss attempts made through diet centers and fitness club memberships. Be sure to keep good records, including receipts.

When you decide to have surgery, your bariatric surgeon will also need a copy of your completed profile.

Join the Bariatric Surgery Weight Loss Support Group

Our support group is open to all pre-op and post-op bariatric surgery patients, regardless of where they've had surgery. Each meeting includes a half-hour education session led by one of our staff members, followed by an hour-long interactive open discussion and question-and-answer session.

We encourage you to attend at least one support group before you schedule surgery. You may attend in-person or join virtually through a video conferencing option.

We have a psychologist and dietitian at the support groups to assist you with any concerns.
