Professional Bio

Troy Lorents was elected to the Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) Board of Directors in 2021. He has lived in Flagstaff since 1971.

Troy graduated from Northern Arizona University (NAU) with a BSBA in Computer Information systems in 1991 and later received his Masters of Science and Management from NAU as well. Upon graduating, Troy worked for Computer Technology Services at NAU on various teams including the College and University Financial System, Affirmative Action, Peoplesoft, and Telecomm.

Troy started at W.L. Gore and Associates in 2001 as an IT developer which led to roles as a team leader and eventually the Global IT Leader for the medical products division.  In 2007, Troy joined the business leadership team at W.L. Gore working with the Aortic Segment. Troy is currently working at W.L. Gore and Associates focusing on Data Privacy and Data Security as a Global Privacy Lead.

Outside of work Troy has been on many community non-profit groups including the Lorents Education Foundation, Flagstaff Hoops Basketball, which he started and ran for over 6 years, Coordinating Council on Mexican Affairs, actively served as the President for one year, DREAMS minority scholarships, a local non-profit group that awards scholarships to minority high school students from northern Arizona to continue their education post-high school. Troy’s most recent hobby has been an AIA-certified wrestling referee for Arizona Wrestling Officials.
