Bio

Rick Gray joined Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) in 2025 as vice president and administrator of Verde Valley area services for NAH. He brings over 15 years of health care leadership experience across both not-for-profit and for-profit systems.

Before joining NAH, Rick was associate administrator of El Paso Children’s Hospital (EPCH), where he led multi-million-dollar construction projects, expanded outpatient services and supported key operational and quality initiatives. He previously served as chief executive officer at Culberson Hospital in Van Horn, Texas, guiding the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic and partnering with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to provide care for migrants.

Rick began his career in nuclear medicine and radiology and brings a deep understanding of clinical operations and hospital infrastructure. He earned his master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of New Mexico. He also earned bachelor’s degrees in Nuclear Medicine Technology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) and in Psychology from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. He is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
