Michael Martinell

Professional Bio

Mike Martinell was elected to the Northern Arizona Healthcare Board of Directors in 2019.

Mike is a recent retiree from the Medical Products Division of W.L. Gore and Associates after almost 28 years of service. During his time with the company, Mike served in a variety of finance and business leadership roles. While at Gore, he had the privilege of working with a team that commercialized a new and innovative minimally invasive medical device for the treatment of aortic aneurysms. Prior to Gore, Mike worked in the Phoenix area at the aerospace division of Allied-Signal where he started his finance career.

Mike moved to Arizona in 1971 from his hometown of San Diego, California. He has been in Arizona since this time and is a current resident of Flagstaff. Mike earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

Mike recently served for three years on the Northern Arizona University College of Finance advisory council, where he interacted with students looking to advance their careers in finance. He has also been a member of St Vincent de Paul, helping local residents and travelers coming through the community with food, shelter and transportation.
