Patients, staff, and visitors to Northern Arizona Healthcare’s (NAH) Children’s Health Center (CHC) in Flagstaff will soon be greeted by familiar friendly faces: Charles Schulz’s beloved Peanuts Gang!

A 56” x 49” mural featuring joyfully dancing Charlie Brown, Snoopy and Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, Sally and Franklin has been donated to CHC in recognition of the 75th anniversary of Schulz’s beloved comic strip.

On Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, the six-panel mural was painted by patients and members of the NAH community during a “Peanuts PaintFest” at Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC).

When completed, the mural will be on display at CHC, located at 5130 N. Highway 89 in Flagstaff. The mural is a permanent gift to CHC as part of a joint effort of Peanuts Worldwide, NAH and the nonprofit Foundation for Hospital Art.

“We are thrilled and moved to see Charles Schulz’s iconic characters share their irrepressible joy with the patients at NAH,” said Melissa Menta, Senior Vice President, Global Brand and Communications for Peanuts Worldwide. “At a time when we all need hope and humor, we believe Sparky would be thrilled to know that his work is bringing both to adults and children across the globe.”

“We at NAH are grateful and delighted to receive the gift of Peanuts art from The Foundation for Hospital Art,” said CHC Practice Manager, Anthony Gobe. “Charles Schulz brought joy and wise humor to millions of children and adults, and he will do the same for our patients, staff members and visitors as they find happiness and hope in this captivating Peanuts mural.”
