VVMC ranks in top quartile of two rural hospital performance excellence awards from iVantage Health Analytics

Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Verde Valley Medical Center is among 17 Arizona hospitals to rank in the top quartile of acute care rural hospitals in the nation, according to the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health, or NOSORH; and iVantage Health Analytics.

These rankings are determined through iVantage’s Hospital Strength INDEX program, an objective and comprehensive assessment of rural hospital performance. INDEX identifies excellence across a broad spectrum of indicators relevant to hospital performance and patient care. These indicators are Quality, Outcomes, Patient Satisfaction, and Financial Strength.

VVMC is a top quartile performer in two separate categories. It is one of only 10 rural Arizona hospitals to be recognized for Excellence and Outcomes, which takes into account patient safety, readmissions and mortality; and one of only five to be recognized for Excellence in Financial Strength, which involves leverage, liquidity, capital efficiency and resource availability.
