Northern Arizona Healthcare’s Flagstaff Medical Center was recognized during the Flagstaff City Council meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 19, for being named one of the top hospitals in Arizona by U.S. News & World Report as well as for receiving 5-stars from the Centers for Medicine and Medicaid Services.
These earned distinctions are based on the organization’s intense and accomplished focus on patient care and exceptional outcomes. Ratings help you make informed decisions about where to receive high-quality care by making hospital quality more transparent. This affirms that exceptional care is right here, close to home and aids NAH’s Mission – Improving health, healing people.
“The mayor and the council would like to take a few moments to celebrate these prestigious rankings and let you know how grateful we are to have you as part of this city and community,” said councilmember Jamie Whelan.
Flo Spyrow, NAH president and CEO; John Mougin, MD, chief quality officer; Josh Tinkle, FMC chief administrative officer; and Jannienne Jones Verse, chief strategy, business development and marketing officer were present to receive the recognition.
“I am honored to serve NAH has its president and chief executive officer, however, I accept this recognition tonight on behalf of the 3,500 employees and about 300 physicians who provide care to our patients every day and do so with the commitment and diligence that has earned this outstanding award,” Spyrow said.
