Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Charles Smith, MD, has joined the NAH primary care office in Flagstaff. He is accepting patients now. NAH recently announced the opening of its newly expanded primary care clinic that will accommodate our growing team of health care experts. Dr. Smith joins an established team of providers, including physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who all bring their expertise in keeping the community healthy.

We know how important primary care is when it comes to a person’s wellbeing, and we will continue to keep our commitment of giving Flagstaff area residents high-quality care as we add more providers in the future,” Dr. Bernardi added.
Dr. Smith has over 30 years of experience in health care, including the last 22 years practicing medicine in Flagstaff. He believes in establishing a good rapport with each of his patients through open lines of communication. His goal is to provide preventive health care that promotes long-term wellness and enhances quality of life for each patient.
Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York and his undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He completed a three-year residency in family medicine at The University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson. He is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and fluent in Spanish.
