Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) has begun its annual Bottomless Toy Drive at the Sedona Emergency Department (ED) and Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). NAH is asking community members to donate toys that bring comfort and distraction to pediatric patients during times of emergency and illness.
As the Verde Valley community grows, so does the number of young patients our health care teams support. The community’s generosity helps meet this growing demand and brings joy to children during some of their most difficult moments.
NAH is accepting toys, activities, fidgets, and comfort items that are appropriate for infants through teens and are still packaged or with tags.
Items that are commonly donated include:
- Dolls and action figures.
- Books for reading, coloring or problem-solving.
- Bubbles.
- Colorful or glittery toys.
- Light-up toys.
- Puzzles.
- Rubik’s Cubes.
- Sensory toys, such as fidget spinners, squishy toys, Play-Doh and Slinkys.
- Stuffed animals.
- Toy cars.
Donations can be dropped off through Sunday, May 4. You may bring your donations to the registration desks at the Sedona ED, located at 3700 W. State Rte. 89A, or at VVMC, located at 269 S. Candy Ln. in Cottonwood.
NAH extends its sincere gratitude to our community for helping bring comfort to pediatric patients when they need it most.
