Basic Life Support Instructor Class
This course is designed for those who wish to teach Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider, Heartsaver CPR, or Heartsaver First Aid for the layperson. Instructor candidates must have prior approval from the Northern Arizona Healthcare AHA Training Center Coordinator to register for the class, and must fax or present their current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to acceptance in the course.
Interested candidates must be current on their AHA BLS Provider certification. After being accepted into this course, all instructor candidates must complete the American Heart Association Instructor Essentials Online Course prior to the start date of this instructor course. The online course completion certificate must be presented to the instructor at the beginning of this course.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 10612 for 10.5 CE credit hours.
Dates and Times
Due to necessary class preparation, registration for this course will close 2 weeks prior to the class date.
Day 1 - 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Day 2 - 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Flagstaff Medical Center:
- Feb. 3 - Feb. 4, 2022
- June 9 - June 10, 2022
- Oct. 13 - Oct. 14, 2022
Verde Valley Medical Center:
- June 3 - June 4, 2022
At Flagstaff Medical Center the courses will be held in the Northern Arizona Healthcare Training Center, located at the west end of the Fort Valley Shopping center, 1000 N. Humphreys, Suite 241-242.
In Cottonwood, the courses will be held in the Education Center located in the Courtyard Plaza on the east side of the Verde Valley Medical Center, 300 S. Willard St., Ste 201.
