Community Health Matters. A call for submissions.

Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) has made some exciting announcements the past few weeks with its 2030 Strategic Plan. The Arizona Daily Sun did a terrific job covering the new plan, but we understand that people may have some questions about what that means for their health care. NAH wants to remind the community that our ‘Community Health Matters’ column is a way for community members to explore questions or concerns about their health care.

We know that health care is an important subject for the northern Arizona community, and residents talk about the topic with their family, friends, neighbors and community leaders, and NAH prides itself on being transparent with topics that people may have questions about.

This monthly column has covered a variety of health care topics since November 2024, but we would love to get some questions from the community about any health care issue they’ve been thinking about. Readers can email any questions they may have, whether related to NAH, personal health concerns, insurance issues or health topics they have heard about in the community. Based on the topic of the question, we’ll have the right one of NAH’s 3,500 team members answer one question a month in the third Thursday issue of the Arizona Daily Sun.

We know that certain aspects of one’s health journey and overall wellbeing can be overwhelming at times, and we are passionate about helping people better understand and navigate the process, as well as responding to our community’s health needs.

How to participate: Readers can submit their questions to [email protected]. Please include your first and last name and city.

We will include the name of the person who submitted the question, so please be mindful about including personal health information in your question. Questions may be edited for the sake of space and/or to remove some personal health information, however NAH will reach out to the author to ensure that the final verbiage gets at the heart of their question.

NAH is here to engage in meaningful conversations with the community. We believe in investing in the community, and we want people to feel like NAH is by their side when navigating a health care journey. We will continue to be committed to providing exceptional care to every person, every time, because we know how important community health matters to us all.
