Here in northern Arizona, community is at the heart of our way of life. At Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH), our mission of Improving Health, Healing People is strengthened when we join hand in hand with our neighbors. That’s why we support local, nonprofit organizations by sponsoring events and other initiatives that align with our mission and values. Together, we are supporting the communities we serve.
How NAH’s sponsorship program works
Nonprofit organizations in northern Arizona may apply for an NAH sponsorship once per year through our online application. To be considered, applications must be submitted at least 45 days before the requested funding date and should be fully completed upon submission.
To qualify, organizations must:
- Operate as a 501(c)(3) or equivalent nonprofit.
- Serve communities within northern Arizona.
- Align with NAH’s mission, vision and values.
- Address at least one social determinant of health, which the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines as a nonmedical factor that can influence health outcomes, such as age or where people are born, grow up, work, live or worship, or:
- Address an issue identified in the Community Health Needs Assessment.
We do not fund:
- Individuals or scholarships.
- Activities that are solely religious in nature or fall outside the scope of our mission.
- We do, however, welcome partnerships with faith-based organizations whose work directly supports our organizational goals.
- Lobbying or political efforts.
- Organizations outside our service area.
- Endowments, capital campaigns or debt reduction, unless it’s part of a formal partnership.
