The Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) Orthopedic & Spine Institute, EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine and Primary Care clinics performed 127 sports physicals in Flagstaff on Saturday, June 13. All Flagstaff-area high school, middle school and grade school student athletes were invited to attend an expansive one-day sports physical clinic for $10 to ensure eligibility for the fall sports season.
Each physical cost $10 and all proceeds collected from each physical have been donated to the athletic department of the students’ school. This year’s event raised over $1,270 for Flagstaff youth athletic department programs. This is the sixth year NAH has provided the low-cost screenings to the community.
“An event like this benefits the community to ensure all children have the potential to exercise regularly to promote health and socialization, a combination that encourages kids to remain active and promote positive exercise regimens, which carry over into adulthood,” said Matt Kraemer, Administrator for the NAH Orthopedic & Spine Institute. “NAH is focused on promoting optimal health and serving the community in a manner that is proactive. We believe it is important to support the community, and we know that donating back to these athletic programs will contribute to the health and well-being of the adolescent community,” added Kraemer.
