NAH heart-healthy discussion and refreshments

May 1, 2023 @ 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm

This May, NAH has your heart!

We welcome our community to learn about the cardiovascular services that are available in the northern Arizona region and how NAH is keeping heart health close to home. Masks will be optional and available for attendees.

The event will take place on Monday, May 1, 2023, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at McGee Auditorium, Flagstaff Medical Center, 1200 N Beaver St.

Sanjiv Faldu, MD, FACC

Sanjiv Faldu, MD, FACC, earned his Doctorate of Medicine from The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in the British West Indies. He trained as an internal medicine resident and served as the assistant chief resident at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, N.J. His cardiology fellowship was completed at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Faldu’s background and expertise includes general cardiology; internal medicine and trauma-based care.

Dr. Faldu is board certification certified in cardiology by the American College of Cardiology.

David. M. Leder, MD, FACC

David. M. Leder, MD, FACC, earned his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois, and his bachelor’s degree in general engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He completed an interventional cardiology and vascular fellowship at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center at Tufts University in Boston, and a cardiovascular medicine fellowship (where he served as chief resident) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School in Boston.  

Dr. Leder is board-certified in interventional cardiology, general cardiology. He received initial board certification in internal medicine, vascular medicine, nuclear medicine, endovascular intervention and vascular ultrasound interpretation. 

Dr. Leder’s expertise is in complex coronary and structural heart interventions. He also has advanced training in peripheral vascular disease and vascular medicine; endovascular intervention and limb salvage. Dr. Leder and the structural health surgery team offer the only Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure in Flagstaff.

Mark Liwanag, DO

Mark Liwanag, DO, MPH received his medical degree from the Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in southern Florida. Prior to that, he obtained a Master of Public Health from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his internal medicine residency and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Michigan State University McLaren – Macomb Oakland in Detroit and completed his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship training at MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Liwanag is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
