Breastfeeding Basics
Get a head start on successful breastfeeding before your new baby arrives. Topics include initiating breastfeeding; techniques and positions; selecting the correct breast pump and supplies for your needs; correct breast milk storage; problem-solving; and day-to-day management.
Childbirth Preparation Classes – Verde Valley Medical Center
This class is offered as a four-week series. Topics include labor, delivery, and the postpartum period; relaxation and breathing techniques (with practice); comfort measures and coping strategies; medications; inductions; epidurals; C-sections; and the role of the support person.
Preparing for Birth – Flagstaff Medical Center
This four-week series provides a wide variety of information that includes labor, delivery, postpartum care, newborn care and everything in between. This course gives you an opportunity to gain information, ask questions and connect with other expecting parents.
