Professional Bio

Troy Lorents was elected to the Northern Arizona Healthcare Board of Directors in 2021. He has lived in Flagstaff since 1971.

Troy earned his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems and his master’s degree in management information systems, both from Northern Arizona University (NAU). He began his career at NAU before joining W.L. Gore & Associates in 2001, where he spent 26 years in various technology and business leadership roles, including Global IT Leader for the Medical Products Division. Later in his career, he helped build and lead the company’s global data privacy program.

Troy has been actively involved in the Flagstaff community for many years, particularly through youth sports and wrestling. He has coached a variety of youth sports throughout Flagstaff and is an Arizona Interscholastic Association-certified wrestling official. He also owns Mat Mechanics, a small business that provides technology, equipment and tournament support for wrestling events.
