Professional Bio

Monica Hanley, PT, DPT, is a physical therapist with Northern Arizona Healthcare’s EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine department. She is located in Village of Oak Creek.

Monica specializes in orthopedics and movement; specifically, correcting the mechanics of everyday movement. She decided to become a physical therapist when she tore her ACL in high school and underwent months of rehabilitation to heal. Monica has been in the field of physical therapy since 2014.

Monica earned her associate’s degree at Trinidad State Junior College in Trinidad, Colo.; her bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz.; and her doctoral degree in physical therapy at Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz. She completed her orthopedic physical therapy residency at Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City, Calif. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, or APTA.

Monica’s philosophy is that movement is the best medicine. Symptoms may be relieved by medication, injections or massage, but the best way to keep symptoms away is to get moving.
