Jason Jackson, OTR/L, CHT is an occupational therapist and certified hand therapist at EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine, part of Northern Arizona Healthcare. He is located in Sedona.

Expertise and Special Interests

Jason specializes in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation of the upper extremity, including the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He treats conditions pertaining to upper extremity post-surgical repair; arm and hand fracture; arthritis; tendon and nerve injury; cumulative trauma disorder; burns; and chronic pain. Jason has a special interest in overhead athletes and the unique rehabilitation requirements they have to return to sport.

Education and Certifications

Jason earned a bachelor’s of science in geology and environmental services at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz. He earned a master’s of science in occupational therapy at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, N.M. He earned his designation as a Certified Hand Therapist in 2019 after completing more than three years of hand therapy treatment, including more than 4000 hours of direct patient care. Jason is a certified Graston Technique Specialist, which utilizes a patented form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively and efficiently address soft tissue and scar restrictions, resulting in improved patient outcomes.

Philosophy

Jason believes that active functional movement and knowledge empowers a patient during their rehabilitation, enabling them to better understand their body and the role they play in their own recovery.
