NAH welcomes Leila Noghrehchi, MD, and Valerie Van Ravenswaay, DO, to primary care in Flagstaff

Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Leila Noghrehchi, MD, and Valerie Van Ravenswaay, DO, have joined the NAH primary care office in Flagstaff. Dr. Noghrehchi and Dr. Van Ravenswaay are both accepting patients now. They join a large team of established primary care providers, including physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners who help the community stay healthy by providing exceptional care to northern Arizona residents and their families.

Dr. Noghrehchi and Dr. Van Ravenswaay are both dedicated caregivers and provide exceptional care to their patients as they help navigate each individual’s own personal health journey,” Dr. Bernardi added.

Dr. Noghrehchi specializes in primary care and women’s health, with a special interest in preventive and lifestyle medicine. She has expertise in adolescent, young adult and midlife health, in addition to birth control management and gender-affirming care. She prioritizes the personal goals and cultural backgrounds of her patients and believes in having open communication, encouraging patients and families to take an active role in their health care decision-making. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with her patients and their families, advocating for them to experience a healthy life.

Dr. Noghrehchi earned her medical degree and bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her family medicine residency at the University of Utah Health in Salt Lake City, where she served as chief resident during her final year. Dr. Noghrehchi is board certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine.

Dr. Van Ravenswaay has over 13 years of medical experience and has been with NAH since 2019, most recently serving as a hospitalist at Flagstaff Medical Center, before moving to the primary care office. As a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Van Ravenswaay takes a whole-person approach to health care, focusing on the connection between mind, body and spirit to help patients achieve their full health potential. As an avid outdoorsperson who has lived in Flagstaff since 2018, she believes staying active is an important key to a healthy lifestyle and aging well.

Dr. Van Ravenswaay earned her medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, where she also completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in osteopathic manipulative medicine. She completed her master’s degree in public health through a joint program at The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Dr. Van Ravenswaay completed a family medicine residency through Texas A&M Health Science Center at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan, Texas. She is dually board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the Osteopathic Board of Family Medicine.
