The Innovation and Grants department at Northern Arizona Healthcare

The mission of the Innovation and Grants department is to grow and oversee research and evidence-based practice in alignment with Northern Arizona Healthcare’s core strategies.

What we do

The Innovation and Grants department ensures NAH meets the highest ethical standards in research and research-related activities, including compliance with state and federal regulations governing research.

We encourage, mentor and support NAH’s medical staff, residents and students; healthcare providers including nurses, therapists and social workers; and graduate students by guiding them through the process of exploring, developing, and implementing human subject research projects. These projects may involve biomedical, nursing and social behavioral research, as well as quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives. Our office also identifies solid research and EBP findings and facilitates their implementation in nursing and healthcare practice.

Our goal

Our goal is to promote research and evidence-based practice to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.  We collaborate and coordinate with all NAH departments to advance innovative methodologies across our system.
