Professional Bio

Steven Kurzweil, MD, is a urologist with Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group.


Dr. Kurzweil has special training in using endourologic treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia, or BPH, more commonly known as an enlarged prostate, as well as for urinary tract malignancies. He also specializes in kidney stone disease, cancer and infertility.


Dr. Kurzweil is certified by the American Board of Urology. He received his medical education from Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines; he earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Clark University in Worcester, Mass. Dr. Kurzweil completed his residency in urology at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore. He completed a fellowship in stone disease and endourology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Prior to joining the medical staff at VVMC, Dr. Kurzweil cared for patients at Wyoming Valley Health Care System in Wilkes-Barre, Penn.
After learning about the excellent healthcare VVMC provides, Dr. Kurzweil chose to relocate to Cottonwood to be a member of the medical staff and community.
Dr. Kurzweil is Board Certification certified in urology and is a member of the American Urological Association.
