Mark Liwanag, DO, MPH

Expertise and Special Interests

Dr. Liwanag is a specialist in cardiac electrophysiology. He manages complex arrhythmias. He performs advanced procedures including radiofrequency ablation and implantation of cardiac electronic devices like pacemakers and defibrillators.

Education and Certification

Dr. Liwanag received his medical degree from the Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in southern Florida. Prior to that, he obtained a Master of Public Health from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He completed internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Michigan State University – McLaren Macomb-Oakland in Metro Detroit. He completed his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship training at MetroHealth in Cleveland, OH.

Dr. Liwanag is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.
