Karen Vanaman, FNP-C, is a board-certified cardiology family nurse practitioner with Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group. She is located in Flagstaff.
Philosophy
Karen believes in providing comprehensive and holistic healthcare that is individualized to the patient. She believes there is value in educating patients and their families on their disease processes and promoting health and wellness in all stages of life.
Expertise and Special Interests
Karen had six years’ experience as nurse in cardiovascular critical care units prior to working as a nurse practitioner.
Education and Certification
Karen earned her master’s degree in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialty from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.; her bachelor’s degree in nursing and her master’s degree in geology from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Ariz.; and her bachelor’s degree in geology from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Karen is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
