James Arthur, MD, is a physician with Northern Arizona Healthcare Medical Group – Cottonwood.
Expertise and Special Interests
Dr. Arthur’s special interests include diabetes, hypertension, dermatology and Bio-identical hormone replacement for both women and men. He also has a strong emphasis on pediatric care and currently cares for newborns at VVMC. Dr. Arthur has been on the active medical staff of VVMC since 1987 and served as chairman of the Department of Family Medicine from 1991–1994 and from 2002–2003. He was Chief of Staff of VVMC from 2004–2006 and served on the VVMC Board of Directors from 2004–2008.
Education and Certification
Dr. Arthur attended the University of Arizona, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1980. He graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in 1984 in the top 20 percent of his class. His postgraduate residency in family medicine was at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Arthur is Board Certification certified in family medicine.
