Professional Bio

Carrie Barber, P.T., is a physical therapist at EntireCare Rehab & Sports Medicine – Village of Oak Creek.

Expertise and Special Interests

Carrie has worked primarily with the geriatric population, but has experience in wound care, neurological rehabilitation, and orthopedic and sports rehabilitation. She worked at Flagstaff Medical Center for 11 years and in a skilled nursing facility in Flagstaff for two years. Carrie is an excellent physical therapist due to her expertise, dedication and her rapport with patients and families. She is known to be calm under stressful situations, positive and self-directed, helping her patients to be the same. As a physical therapist,she aims to make a difference in her patients’ lives. She wants to help them recover and guide them along the path to become as functional and independent as possible.

Education and Certification

Carrie earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University. She is a certified developmental specialist/NIDCAP (newborn individualized developmental care and assessment plan) and has experience working with newborns in a neo-natal nursery. Carrie also has experience in home health.Additionally she is an adjunct facility member and clinical instructor at Northern Arizona University in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program.

Carrie believes it is important to be honest and good, to always do her best and to be accountable for her words and actions. She finds inspiration by looking for the greatness in everything she does. She also strives to love and to laugh often.
