NAH welcomes Dr. James Estipona, DO to Cottonwood Primary Care

Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) today announced James Estipona, DO, has joined the NAH Medical Group (NAHMG) – Cottonwood, as a new primary care provider.  He is accepting new patients now. NAHMG provides a multidisciplinary primary care approach involving physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners to help families and the community stay healthy. 

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Estipona to our primary care practice in Cottonwood,” said NAHMG President Pasquale Bernardi, MD. “Dr. Estipona is a talented, trusted physician who shares our commitment to delivering high-quality care to every patient. I am confident that the addition of new primary care providers in Verde Valley will benefit the local community by giving them exceptional care close to home,” Dr. Bernardi added.  

Dr. Estipona specializes in family medicine which allows him to work with patients and their families from childbirth and adolescence to geriatric. As an osteopathic physician, he specializes in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT), which includes a focus on physical manipulation of the body’s muscle tissue and bones. This type of treatment can help patients with a wide range of health conditions, especially those with musculoskeletal complaints such as neck pain or lumbar and thoracic spine issues.  

Dr. Estipona earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at Seton Hill in Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree in laboratory science from Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at Albany Medical Center in New York.
