Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Christian Breburda, MD, PhD, FACC, FASE, has joined the Cardiovascular Institute in Flagstaff. Dr. Breburda specializes in noninvasive cardiology, consisting of heart failure, cardiovascular imaging, lipid therapy, valve and atrial fibrillation management, and preventative care.

Dr. Breburda earned his medical degree from Justus-Liebig University Medical School in Giessen, Germany and completed his residency in internal medicine at Cabrini Medical Center in New York City, an affiliate of New York Medical College. He completed a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, a fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, and a fellowship in advanced echocardiography at the University of California, San Francisco. He is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Breburda served as the President and Governor of the American College of Cardiology Arizona State Chapter. Currently, he is a clinical professor of medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and a professor of medicine at Creighton University School of Medicine in Phoenix.
The Cardiovascular Institute provides comprehensive heart and vascular services, including noninvasive and minimally invasive diagnostic tests, electrophysiology services, cardiac catheterization and echocardiography labs.
