Telemetry Review and Patient Management

This course is designed for the health care professional, who is working in an environment with cardiac monitoring. The course will provide a basic cardiac rhythm review, as well as, assist the health care professional with the management of patients exhibiting arrhythmias.

It is also an ideal review course for the health care provider, who has a basic understanding of arrhythmias, who is preparing to take ACLS.

The course utilizes lecture, rhythm labs, handouts, case studies, and discussion.

At the end of class, the student will be able to:

  • Identify the key components of cardiac A&P and the conduction system
  • Describe and demonstrate correct cardiac rhythm analysis and interpretation
  • Identify the medications used to treat various cardiac rhythms
  • Discuss the appropriate steps in patient management

Continuing Education Credit

Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 10612 for 6.5 CE credit hours.

At Flagstaff Medical Center, the courses will be held in the Northern Arizona Healthcare Training Center, located at the west end of Fort Valley Shopping Center, 1000 N. Humphreys, Suite 241-242.

In Cottonwood, the courses will be held in the Education Center located in the Courtyard Plaza on the east side of the Verde Valley Medical Center, 269 S. Candy Lane.
