HeartSaver CPR/AED First Aid

This course is designed for the layperson who wants to be prepared to act in an emergency at home or work.

CPR Topics Include:

• Adult CPR and AED use
• Opioid Associated Life Threats
• Child CPR and AED usea
• Infant CPR use
• Choking in an Adult, Child, and Infant

First Aid Topics Include:

• Victim Assessment
• Bleeding and wounds
• Bone, joint, and muscle injuries
• Burns
• Cold and heat-related injuries
• Foreign body airway obstruction
• Medical emergencies
• Poisoning
• Bites and stings
• Shock

Course Completion:

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a First Aid and/or CPR course completion card issued by the American Heart Association which is good for 2 years.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional material for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fess needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.

At Flagstaff Medical Center (FMC) the courses will be held in the Northern Arizona Healthcare Training Center, located at the west end of the Fort Valley Shopping Center, 1000 N. Humphreys, Suite 241-242.

In Cottonwood, the courses will be held in the Education Center located in the Courtyard Plaza on the east side of the Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC), 300 S Willard, Suite 102.

Masks are required at all NAH locations. They are available if you do not have one. Class will include “Hands-on Skills” . Please wear comfortable clothing. Let the instructor know if you have any limitations.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are available less a $30.00 administration fee. No refund is issued if cancellation occurs within five business days of the course.
