Pulmonary and Neurophysiology Services

Pulmonary and Neurodiagnostics Services, which includes Respiratory care, is offered at VVMC by registered and certified respiratory therapists. Special training of these healthcare professionals includes ACLS, PALS, pulmonary function, and perinatal/pediatrics registration/certification. VVMC offers a complete spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

VVMC has a state-of-the-art Sleep Center, with the capability of permitting true sleep staging and the precise detection of breathing cessation which may be of neurological origin.

Sleep Center studies are performed to diagnose, or reveal possible causes of health care problems such as: daytime fatigue, periodic leg movement disorder, restless leg syndrome, sleep apnea and narcolepsy.
