Customer Services
Security Officers provide a wealth of
customer services. Please feel free to call upon any member of the
Security Services team to assist you. Below are just some examples of
the services we provide. Our motto: “If we can’t help you, we will find
someone who can!”
Lost and Found
The Security Department documents and maintains custody of all recovered
property at Flagstaff Medical Center.
If you find property, please contact the
Switchboard Operators at extension 12900. A Security Officer will be
dispatched to secure the property and attempt to return it to its owner.
In the event that you should lose or
misplace property or if property is stolen from you, please contact the
Switchboard Operators at extension 12900 to report the loss. A Security
Officer will be dispatched to meet you and document your loss if
necessary.
Escorts
The Security Department will provide vehicular or pedestrian escorts to
the parking garage, lots and surrounding medical center buildings on a
24 hour basis upon request. Escorts are subject to availability of
officers. Please call the Switchboard Operators at
extension 12900 to request an escort.
The Security Department recommends that you utilize the escort services
available to you. If a Security escort is not desired, please review our
list of safety tips.
Motorist Services
In all Flagstaff Medical Center lots, Security Officers will attempt to
help motorists in need (based on availability) by providing the
following services:

Lock-out assistance for your vehicle*

Vehicle jump starts
-
Notification if you leave your lights on
(via overhead paging system).
If we are unable to assist you, a
Security Officer will remain with you and your vehicle until additional
assistance arrives .
*Before we administer these services we require that the motorist sign a
release of liability waiver.
Patient Valuables
It is encouraged that you leave all personal belongings and valuables at
home when planning a stay at Flagstaff Medical Center. However, in those
instances that you would like to have something secured, the Security
Department will secure your valuables in a safe place.
All other personal belongings will remain in your room with you.
Examples of valuables the Security Department safe can secure: Wallets,
checkbooks, credit cards, cash, jewelry, ID documents, cell phones
Examples of belongings the Security Department safe cannot secure: Large
purses, backpacks, luggage, clothing
If you have extenuating circumstances or additional questions regarding
patient valuables, please ask your nurse to contact a Security Officer
to meet with you.
