Due to the decline of influenza and RSV cases nationally and locally, Flagstaff Medical Center and Verde Valley Medical Center have lifted itheir annual visitation restrictions. Effective May 1, children 18 years and younger will be allowed in the hospital to visit patients.
In general and depending on the unit, hospital visitation guidelines allow two visitors at a time in a patient’s room between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult and are not to be left unattended in any area of the hospital.
For the safety and wellness of patients, staff and visitors, FMC and VVMC request that anyone with symptoms of illness such as fever, headache, sore throat, body aches, congestion or cough refrain from visiting the hospital unless they are a patient. However, if you have symptoms of an illness and must visit the hospital, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and FMC request the use of a mask and washing your hands with antibacterial, waterless hand sanitizer before entering the facility. Masks and antibacterial, waterless hand sanitizer are available at all entrances.
