STAFF ACCOUNTANT
FINANCIAL OPERATIONS
DAYS, EXEMPT
Maintains and provides accurate financial information to the
Controller and other management through the application of
accounting principles in accordance with GAAP. Prepares monthly
general journal entries, financial statements and account
reconciliations. Assists the Controller in all functions in the
reporting of financial operations. Performs various ad hoc
projects within the department as required. A Bachelor’s Degree in
Accounting/Finance is required. Two to three years experience in
finance, preferably in a healthcare setting, is required.
PATIENT SAFETY SPECIALIST
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
DAYS, 40 Hrs/Wk
In Hire Range: $14.77 – $17.72
Has the primary oversight accountability for the FMC Patient
Safety Program’s daily functionality. Supports the vision and
operation of the patient safety plan, the patient safety hotline
reporting and referral process, as well as assuring timely
follow-up and resolution. Maintains the patient safety database,
develops reports, and provides trending analysis of the data.
Assists others within FMC towards process improvements that will
support the reduction of medical/healthcare related errors and
other factors that contribute to unintended adverse outcomes for
our patients. Participates in safety rounds with the patient
safety officer (PSO) and other appropriate rounding, coordinates
the activities of the Quality PS Council, educates others on the
system based causes of error, and communicates literature
(evidence) based ideas about effective patient safety strategies
to the organization’s providers. Associate degree in healthcare
related field of study or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in
related field preferred. 3 years of progressive experience with
performance improvement including development of indicators, data
abstraction, graphic presentation and data analysis is required.
Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis is required.
Demonstrated proficiency with software applications including
Microsoft products. Prior experience in a patient safety/quality
management role in a hospital or similar setting is highly
desirable.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
FINANCIAL OPERATIONS

In Hire Range: $12.67 - $15.20
Compiles, prepares and reviews accounts payable documents for
payment processing. Records appropriate vendor and general ledger
account numbers on invoices. Reviews and completes accounts
payable check runs in a timely manner. Prepares, researches and
maintains accounts payable records, reports and projects. High
School diploma or equivalent required. Two years of experience in
computerized accounts payable and knowledge of general ledger is
preferred.
OFFICE COORDINATOR II
LEGAL/RISK MANAGEMENT
DAYS, 40 Hrs/Wk
In Hire Range: $12.67 - $15.20
Coordinates and manages support functions of the Legal
Department including: secretarial, organizational. Maintains
electronic and hard-copy files, schedules meetings/coordinates
appointments, provides clerical support for meetings, orders
supplies, completes time edits, prepares and processes invoices,
receives employee complaints and patient concerns, inputs data,
acts as an inter-department staff liaison between staff,
physicians, and customers to ensure professional service and
promotes customer relations. Answers phones and communicates with
the public. High school diploma or equivalent - required; legal
experience - preferred. 1 year of office management and 3 years
general office experience; or 5 years general office experience -
required.
DEPARTMENT SECRETARY
CANCER CENTER
DAYS, 40 Hrs/Wk
In Hire Range: $11.75 - $14.10
Responsible for coordinating the scheduling and registration for
patients and patient charge entry. Answers phones, routs calls,
follows hospital protocol for billing, corporate compliance,
consent forms and patient confidentiality. Assists with
maintaining supply inventory and orders as necessary. High school
degree or equivalent and one year of medical office experience
required. BLS required within three months of hire.
UNIT SECRETARY
LABOR AND DELIVERY
VARIABLE, 0 Budgeted Hours
In Hire Range: $10.04 - $12.05
Under the supervision of a RN, is responsible for providing
generalized support services- including data entry, order entry
and customer service- in accordance with the Nursing Plan of Care
and Medical/Surgical Standards of Care and Practice. Must follow
all policies/procedures of Flagstaff Medical Center. Performs
other duties as assigned/directed. May interact with patients
and/or families. High School diploma or equivalent required. BLS
required within three months of hire. One year of experience in a
patient care setting is preferred. |
