James J. Bleicher, M.D., M.S., is board certified in Internal Medicine, and holds a Master’s of Science degree in Healthcare Management from Harvard University in Boston, Mass. He has worked both clinically and in numerous healthcare leadership roles for more than 15 years.

As an internist, he established a large outpatient practice and founded an inpatient hospitalist group. He was CEO of Horizon Medical, a multi-specialty group and has held numerous medical staff appointments. Dr. Bleicher received his medical degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI and his Internal Medicine residency at the Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies.

Dr. Bleicher was recruited to VVMC in 2007 as the vice president of Medical Affairs. He is married with three children.
